However not that georgia southern doesnt have a good engineering program but its definitely not at the same level as georgia techs. Georgia tech has a rich legacy of students many of whom are active alumni.
The institute plays a leading role in the georgia research alliance a centerpiece of the states economic development strategy. If your tolerance for traffic is two lights and a railroad crossing dont apply to georgia tech. If you go to tech you will have a much much harder time maintaining a high gpa.
If youd rather attend a school that has an olympic sized pool rather than the olympic pool dont apply to georgia tech. Tech is an excellent school and i wholeheartedly believe you should go there if you want to be an engineer. I plan to apply for a second bachelors degree and dropout once i have all the requirements.
Anyway im trying to apply for fall 2016 to do my med school pre reqs. Just wanted everyone here to keep their head up. Looking back on my experience im so glad i went to tech.
All the hard times have made post college life and work so much easier. Virginia commonwealth university my alma mater safety school. School prestige matters very little a good friend of mine who goes here just got into johns hopkins med i cant make this shit up.
Plus i can see that my tech degree commands a certain level of respect that you dont find everyday. If status quo homogeneity and easy as are your goal dont apply to georgia tech. Im hoping that my gpa gre scores lors and research projects will be good enough to get into that school.
Ive narrowed my list to three schools. Also a graduate degree from gt looks extremely good to an employer since theres name recognition. Georgia tech is a fairly large school in the north area of the city of atlanta.
